Abstract:   (149 Views)
In this paper, the sound ID for metro stations is presented to get acquainted with the sound environment and its features by expressing quantitative indices. In the sound recognition of space, it is necessary to study at least two main parameters in the sound discourse, which include the sound pressure level (SPL) and reverberation time (RT). The amount of noise and persistence of sound in the space is measured by these two physical quantities, which are important in metro stations to provide sound comfort and speech intelligibility. The case studies were selected from two cities of Tehran and Tabriz. Two levels of the stations. the ticket control hall and the waiting platform, are measured with a 2260 B&K sound analyzer. The high SPL of the estimated limits indicates the presence of sound pollution in space and also the long RT interference in speech. The SPL ID is calculated by the regression model. It has a curved shape graph that has the highest value in the middle-audible frequency range and the RT ID is obtained from the aggregation of all measured points, which shows 2-3 s. A comparison of the diagram obtained with equal loudness curves and hearing graphs shows undesirable sound conditions in metro stations.
